AITAH for dancing with my friend even if his girlfriend doesn’t like it.
So I f(17) have been friends with this boy let’s call him, Alex m(17) since we were little. We grew up together. My mom and his mom were friends and were only a couple hours apart from each other me being older by three hours.
And before we started middle school, I had to move away, but we still kept in touch and whenever we go back down for the weekend I’d always hang out at his place. And throughout the years his Mom has put pictures of me up on her wall.
And he recently started dating this girl will call her Bella f(16) for like five months now. I have never met her before. I only know what she looks like because of the pictures he has shown me, but he talks about her constantly to me.
So yesterday afternoon we went down and I went to his house because one of his older brother’s birthday. He just turned 25. And we are Guyanese so we party hard. His girlfriend is mixed (white and black) and this was her first time partying with us. Me and Alex have always danced together no matter what, they gave the two of up the nickname “the dancing twins” since we were little we would dance.
The song Bacchanal by Ravi B and Omardath came on and like always we were dancing in the circle. She pulled me aside afterwards and told me she felt really uncomfortable about me dancing with her boyfriend. I told her it’s just dancing and we weren’t doing anything wrong or dancing inappropriately at all. He just spun me around two times and we went around each other in circles.
Now she’s mad at me saying how I should listen to her more since she’s his girlfriend and should be the only one to dance with her.
