I (24F) have worked at the same hospital for almost a year now. I work in a very public department, so I have multiple coworkers that I’ve made a work friendship with. A few of them I will provide my Facebook or Instagram to, only if I feel comfortable.
I work with a team of security guards, one of them (20?M) chatted with me frequently. Today I was at my desk, and he randomly asked me if I had a SnapChat. I delete for years ago, so I offered my Instagram. He didn’t have it, so I left that that.
An hour later, he hands me a note with only his number and name (keep in mind I didn’t know his name til just today). I sent a message asking if it was the correct number.
The conversation immediately turned sexual on his end. I attempted to reply platonically, but he spun my words into flirting each time.
As of now, I’ve reported him to my supervisor and manager. Keep in mind, it hasn’t even been 5 hours yet.
What. Do. I. Do. in the meantime?? He has to pass by my desk multiple times a day. I just left him on read after the last message he sent, I was so weirded out. We work together daily. Never once did I try to flirt, I treated him like I do any other person I work with.
