I am 22 it kinda hurts but I will just apply when I am 25 or 26 to other agencies I am interested in .I probably got a non select due to lack of employment when I was in overseas with my wife waiting her green card interview, and my work history sucks, They made me wait 3 hours I came early because I wanted to avoid traffic but it is what it is l.
So today I had my background interview, and let’s just say it wasn’t the best first impression. I’m 22 years old, and honestly, my unemployment history made me feel pretty worthless. I’m currently employed and have been for about six months, with good relationships with both management and coworkers.
Overall, if I receive an email saying I wasn’t selected, it’s okay. This experience just made me realize that I need to grow up and be more of an adult. I thought pursuing my bachelor’s degree would make me look like a decent candidate, but in my opinion, it didn’t help as much as I expected. I don’t blame them if they decide not to select me.
So I understand why some people move forward with the process while others don’t even if they have a “clean record” on paper. I still love the Los Angeles county sheriff department but I will be back one day when I turn 25 or 26
