Hey everyone,

I’ve been exploring a problem around job search — specifically how candidates struggle to reach the right recruiters and get responses.

Most people:

  • apply through portals and never hear back
  • send cold emails but don’t know if they’re reaching the right person
  • aren’t sure if their resume even passes ATS filters

I’ve been working on a solution around this space focusing on:

  • helping users identify relevant hiring contacts
  • structuring better, more personalized outreach
  • improving resume effectiveness before applying

It’s still early, and I’m trying to understand if this is a problem worth solving deeply.

Would love input from this community:

  • Do you think outreach (beyond applying) actually works in India?
  • How do people currently find and reach recruiters?
  • What would make a solution like this genuinely useful vs just another tool?

Not promoting anything here just looking for honest feedback before taking this further.

Thanks!

Hey folks,

I’ve been struggling with job outreach lately especially finding the right recruiters, figuring out who to reach out to, and writing cold emails that don’t sound generic.

I noticed most applications just go into a black hole, and I’m not sure if direct outreach even works consistently in India.

So I tried building something for myself to:

- identify relevant recruiters / hiring contacts

- structure better, more personalized outreach emails

Still very early and honestly just experimenting at this point.

Wanted to ask people here:

• Has cold emailing recruiters actually worked for you?

• How do you usually find the right person to reach out to?

• What makes an outreach message stand out vs getting ignored?

Would really appreciate insights, especially from people who’ve had success with off-campus or direct outreach.

Not promoting anything — just trying to understand if I’m solving a real problem or overthinking this.
