Dropped handle, clip broken

Had an Emporia classic wall-mount charger installed a couple weeks ago. This morning, handle somehow didn’t get clipped into the mount, it hit the ground, locking clip snapped. Best I can tell, even though it charges just “fine”, this necessitates the replacement of the entire charger as you can’t fix the clip to fully lock it in.

😬

Few questions

  1. it can’t really be fixed, can it?
  2. If someone is having to come out to install a new charger, debating going with the 220V outlet instead such that if this ever happens again, I don’t have to call the electrician. Will I really lose that much in the way of overnight charging?

Bought a used 2025 Touring last week. Was already leasing a 2026 Equinox and had picked up the GM NACS adapter for use at Tesla superchargers.

Best I can tell, the Honda adapter is the same piece of hardware as the GM adapter with a different logo. Other than a charging issue in which Honda could claim I didn’t use the official Honda adapter and hence the warranty doesn’t apply, I can’t think of any reason I would need to get the Honda adapter.

Please, set me straight if I am missing something.
