Hey everyone,
Looking for some real-world advice before I pull the trigger on tires.
Car: 2018 WRX obv
Suspension: BC Racing coilovers
Ride height: lowered - with my current 17” winters (235/45R17), there’s basically no wheel gap (can barely fit a finger, have to push a bit)
New setup I’m considering for the summer:
255/35R18 Firestone Indy 500s
Going onto my 18” rims
Main questions:
Will 255/35R18 rub at this height?
What wheel specs (width + offset) make this safe vs risky?
Anyone running a similar setup?
I’m not trying to go crazy aggressive, just want a clean fitment with no rubbing if possible.
Also, tires are used (~5000 km) for around $650 CAD - worth it?
Appreciate any help 🙏
