Hello,
This is the situation I'm in as a buyer, I'm looking for advice on how to proceed but also open to being told I'm over reacting.
I used the make an offer option on seven coins (not high value stuff anyway, but the option was there) with the same seller. Their posted combined shipping policy was that after the first item, each additional was 25 cents shipping. They accepted all of the offers, eBay automatically applied the payments, and I saw that full shipping was applied for each.
The seller said that "combined shipping is gone" because eBay considers these individual transactions. I requested they cancel and I would re-order without the make an offer. I then tried to submit for cancellation but they timed out. I got a message from the seller's family member that seller is in the hospital, so that's not their fault.
But here's the kicker - the coins arrived today, all in the same envelope, $1.32 shipping. I paid $11.75 in shipping altogether since eBay charged individual shipping.
Can I file to return them? What is my reason, does INAD apply to the shipping cost/method not being as described? I learned a lesson to not use make an offer if my assessment of the cost is dependent on combined shipping, but I still feel like their saying eBay considers these individual transactions and there's no way to combine shipping doesn't gel with then sending them all together for the cost of shipping just one.
