My Oculus Quest 2 thinks it's on AirLink anytime I boot up Steam VR. Despite it being USB, and in the mess of trying to fix it, I have bought 3 cords at various prices, a virtual desktop, and everything. The setting is off. It is just choppy and pixelated. I don't know what happened, it was working until around March, and it just has stayed thinking it's on the airlink. I can even unplug it, and the app will keep going. I've checked settings, and I've done Steam VR Settings. I have no idea what the problem is at this point. The headset is not worn or overly used.
