Comic Book Writers key traits

I don't know if someone did something like this before but like I would want to know what are some writers standouts aspects in their writings let me give you an example of what I mean:
Hickman: he knows how to do world building & long multi years sagas the best

I was a fan of Oliver from his appearance in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon so I wanted to check a run of his & this is the one that I started with.
I'm gonna talk about each of the runs in order so you know my opinion on each of them

Kevin Smith:
I started this running knowing nothing before & it was not what I expected not in a good way.I didn't like the first half of this run AKA the Quiver arc I felt it was just an explanation for the death & return of Ollie which is something that I didn't care about at much & the villain being a cult leader or something & him manipulating Ollie to get the demon & rule the world is one of the most Bullshit plots I have ever heard & wasn't something I wanted from a GA run. But the second arc with Onomatopoeia as the villain is great and felt like the thing that I wanted from the run in the first place.
+ the introduction of Mia & the inclusion of Conner is great cause they are some of my favorite characters in the whole run.
If you love this run more power to you but this wasn't for me at all & I don't ever want to see it again.

Brad Meltzer:
He just wrote one arc called "Archer's Quest" but man o man is this arc fantastic. It just revolves about Ollie going around the world with Roy to get some of his items back but it just hits on every level. The character writing for Ollie is top notch & the interactions between him & Roy are great + a great fight with Solomon Grundy & the twist at the end is gut punching & sad man.
Highly recommend this one.

There is a 3 issue team up with Kyle Rayner which I didn't like and don't have a lot to say about it other than okay.

Judd Winnick:
By far the longest & best run of the comic.
It starts a bit wonky with the first arc where Joan being used as just a plot device which felt a unnecessary & having him cheat on Dinah is so frustrating but other than that his run is fantastic having a lot of new additions like Drakkon & Brick being new villains that are used in great ways throughout the run giving Ollie a new challenge & making the narrative much more exciting each time they appear+The great development Mia got with her turning into the next Speedy is so satisfying to see & the arc range from good to amazing & creative making it much more exhilarating to see especially the final 15 issues with the new status quo which where some of the best issues of the run.
Can't recommend it enough.

The art throught out the run is amazing with a lot of talented artists working through it like Phil Hester, Scott McDaniel, Ron Garney and Tom Fowler which resulted in some of the best action scenes in any comic I read. Seriously the fight scenes in this run are all bangers with the use of great paneling throughout.

All in all this was a highly enjoyable run that I loved a lot & made Oliver Queen one of my favorite characters.
Highly recommend it.

I was doing a binge of some New52 runs and since I'm a BIG Lemire fan I checked this run out & was blown out
Oliver Queen is greatly written here having him tackle intense challenges & proving why he is the master of the bow while maintaining his humor + introducing a whole mythology for green arrow to join is such a fun & creative idea that I wished was used in later runs.
The villains (Komodo & Vertigo) are also excellent in the way they challenge Oliver physically & mentally (my favorite issue of the run is Count Vertigo's origin story).
The Action scenes are a delight to see & read with incredible art & dynamic paneling through out by the awesome Andrea Sorrentino.
The only downside for me was the side characters who felt underdeveloped and the final third of the run while still being good,it didn't maintain the same quality as before.

If you haven't read this yet I highly recommend it.
