At some point, I stopped feeling like I needed to go to church and started feeling guilty for being brought up as a sinner. I feel less guilty now and realize that I'm not being watched by a higher power all the time, but how do you deal with your parents bringing you up in a religion that wants you to hate yourself? How do you not be horribly angry when you leave?
