Using AI to identify edible mushrooms or not? What do you think? Is it better to ask before doing it, and if you do ask, is it in a group of people or your trusted AI? I’m reading your comments.
Hi everyone! My friend and I recently started getting into the world of mushrooms, and we’re really excited to learn more about them.
We usually go out to nearby forests and meadows to take photos of any mushrooms that catch our attention. Since we’re both pretty new to this, we wanted to ask if you have any recommendations for good guides—especially on how to identify different species safely.
Also, are there any solid encyclopedias or field guides you’d recommend? Either physical books or reliable places where we can find/buy them would be super helpful.
