I've tried substrates like vermiculite with flour, millet, rye, and corn, and the only one that works for me is vermiculite with flour. I want to use corn or rye, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong; they always get contaminated. I hydrate them for 12-24 hours, boil them until they soften sufficiently, and sterilize them in a pressure cooker at 15 psi for about one hour. The contamination always breaks out from the inside of the grains, so I know I am processing and sterilizing the substrate incorrectly. Is 15 psi pressure insufficient? Can I crush the grains and mix them with a little vermiculite to make sterilization easier? Please advise.

When it was ready to fruit, I took this out of it's AIO bag and put it in a tub. More or less an experiment to see how it would fruit without the confines of a bag. It seemed to be going well, but stalled out. It was then covered with the matte white 'growth' (not sure what to call it). It was suggested to scrape it with a fork and dunk it - so I did. I put it back in the tub, and let it rest in the dark for a day or two. I then put the filter patches on and gave it some light...and sure as shit, it's covered in the white matte again. I know the temp reads 68, it was a cold morning, it's mostly been riding at 72. It's been in this state, for a second time, for about over week now. What the hell is with this thing?! 😂 Any ideas? Is it a lost cause?

Does anyone know how shrooms interact with ADHD meds? I remember taking shrooms prior to starting ADHD meds and the trips were great. Recently I’ve tried shrooms numerous times and it doesn’t seem to hit the same like it used to. I was wondering if there’s anything in ADHD meds that counteracts the effects of shrooms.
