Finished my knit shorts. This is my own design I have been working on. The yarn is malabrigo arroyo in colour chircas, I really love this yarn!!

The shorts are worked top down in a 1x1 broken rib stitch. Begin by casting on stitches for the waistband. Gradual increases are worked at each side until the full hip is reached. Short rows are then worked to shape the back. A gusset is worked for the crotch, after which the legs are divided and worked individually in the round. Each leg is finished with a double knit band at the hem. Finally the waistband is completed with an icord edging, creating a channel for elastic to be threaded through.
