I am a PF employee, but brand new to the gym. Last night was literally my first time doing anything but the treadmill. I went with my kids and was straight up embarrassed that I couldn’t lift more than 10lbs. We did chest, shoulders and some core. I can’t do a push up to save my life and I’m lucky if I can hold a plank for more than 30 seconds. It was a really disappointing feeling.

I am almost 50 (F), recently lost 60lbs on a glp1, and have lived a relatively sedentary lifestyle until very recently. I do go to Hotworx now and again.

Can anyone give me some advice? Some words of encouragement or wisdom?
