Hey guys, looking for some advice on switching my cat’s diet.
I have a 16-month-old Bengal, and right now he’s on Instinct wet and dry food. I’m thinking of switching his wet food to Fancy Feast since it’s more affordable. That way I can feed more wet food overall and focus on getting more moisture into his diet.
I’m also planning on switching away from Instinct dry kibble because I’ve heard regular dry food isn’t ideal as a main diet. The thing is, he’s had a routine since he was a kitten where he wakes up and waits for his feeder to go off every morning, and I don’t really want to take that away from him. So I’m considering switching him to a budget-friendly freeze-dried or air-dried food for the feeder meals instead, so he still gets that routine but something a bit better nutritionally.
Is Fancy Feast pâté actually okay as a main wet food long term? Are there any other budget-friendly wet food options worth trying besides that? And what are some good freeze-dried or air-dried foods that are actually worth the price for a feeder setup?
