So simply I am using 3000mah 18650s rated at 30 amps. I will be using it with a high demand setup. The part I need help with is understanding what sort of connectors I need to use to build the cell groups. From my understanding, any reasonable nickel strips are not going to be able to carry 60 amps? Or does it not matter because they're so short? Would it be better to spot weld on nickel tabs and then solder big old copper wires?
For more contects I got both some 18650 batteries and 21700 batteries. With the 18650 cells, I'm planning to make some battery packs for my 7.5 in, but after thinking about it after the larger ones came in as they're rated around 4 amp hours, I don't think that's going to be enough for a pack of its weight (4200mah @ 45A, and 4000mah @ 70A). Should I just see how they fly or any other ideas of what I could do with them?
Also I'm having a real hard time designing the connections for 6s2p packs, in the 18650 pack I have to get connections that can carry 60A, I'm newer to battery building but even two 10x0.3mm nickel strips could only do ~40A, could I just weld on small nickel tabs with a spot welder and then connect them with a large gauge copper wire? Is the weak link in the spot weld or through the entire length of the wire?
I don't know how I will feel about it in a while, but right now I really love it! It's super light. Feels good in the hand and really thin. Has anyone else had any experiences with this knife?
Haven't really cycled these through my EDC recently so I kind of forgot I had them.
Been eyeing this one for a while and, really wanted to automatic I've been doing my best to try to verify it and it seems real to me, but I can miss things that I've seen. Other people spot very easily.
