This calculator, available at https://runescape.wiki/w/Calculator:Dungeoneering, lets you look at all the different strategies that you could think of for how to optimise your Dungeoneering floor XP.

These strategies come in 4 categories:

• Farming only your highest floor (large or small)
• Rushing a certain number of (small) floors to get floor buffs, then farming your highest floor (large) (warning: very dependent on the ratio of small floor time to large floor time)
• Starting a bit below your highest floor (large) to get some floor buffs, then farming your highest floor (large)
• Doing them all in order (large)

As you can see from this image, there's sometimes not a lot between these different strategies.

EDIT: some of the feedback here has been implemented. Small and medium floor farming is now an option for comparison, and the explanations have generally been made more detailed.
