The rewatchability is insane. I don’t think I’ll ever rewatch the second season. I liked it, but it was a one and done for me. The characters in season 1 are likable and relatable, but still flawed. I think in season 2, that’s what all the characters really lacked. I feel like if Ashley had that and still did the same actions, people wouldn’t hate her as much. Danny is way more destructive in his own life, but he’s played by Steven Yeun, national treasure lol.
The soundtrack in the first season was also way better. I don’t know if I can think of an impactful moment in season 2 where I can picture the music and the scene together.
It also felt a bit more personal like the writers lived it. In season 1, the writers made the characters’ inner issues more complex instead of direct. In season 2, it was obvious what each character’s insecurities and problems were.
They also did another annoying himbo partner, but again, less likable.
I’m very curious if they will make a third season and what the writers will learn from the feedback to make something on par with the first.
