Hi everyone,
I recently completed my B.Tech (2026 batch) in ECE and I’m planning to enter the VLSI domain. At first I thought of preparing for the GATE exam, but honestly I’m not fully confident that I can crack it right now, so I’m also exploring industry-oriented VLSI training institutes as an alternative path.
During my research, I came across VEDA IIT many times. A lot of people seem to say their entrance test and interview are tough, and getting a seat isn’t easy. I also found posts from candidates saying they cleared their tests/interviews and joined, and older community discussions mention VEDA often among VLSI options.
I want to connect with people who are:
Currently preparing for VEDA IIT entrance/interview,
Already studying there,
Previously attempted the test/interview,
I want to know:
What topics should I focus on?
How difficult is the written test/interview?
What technical subjects are most important ?
How should I prepare as a fresher from a tier-3 college?
Also, if VEDA doesn’t work out, I’m looking for backup institutes with decent training
+ placement support. Some names I keep hearing are:
Maven Silicon
MosChip Academy
Sumedha IT
Community discussions mention these names repeatedly, though opinions are mixed, so I’m trying to gather real student experiences before making a decision.
If you’ve gone through this path, please share your honest experience.
