We just got fiber finally installed yesterday. We were with spectrum and were also at 1G but their consistency sucked. So now I’m here with the app showing me our gateway is getting 1.3G however after some setting changes with both the BGW320 and our Deco x55 I can only seem to manage getting around 850 download.
I did tests with spectrum and I was getting almost the full 1G download so I’m trying to figure out why there’s a 500mbps inconsistency between the gateway Speedtest and what we’re seeing past that. I’ve gone through and ensured our deco is setup as a router, the pass through is setup correctly on the ATT modem side. This did help because prior I was only getting between 200-650 download and now I’m seeing consistent 850.
Is there anything I’m missing on why I wouldn’t be seeing full speeds on our deco?
I do not have a pc I can do a direct connection with however my ps5 is hardwired and is also only getting 855 max.
Not the end of the world if this is what we’re stuck at but if there’s something else to tweak that would be nice to know.
EDIT: Yah this was a complete misunderstanding on my part of the x55. I may look into a new mesh setup!
