Important Information to Remember Before Transferring Servers

The Funcom post included this information, but for anyone who didn’t or won’t read it:

Use The Base Reconstruction Tool - NOT the Solido Replicator Tool

When you go to backup your base, the Base Reconstruction Tool will have multiple pop up warnings telling you that the base will be backed up. After clearing these pop ups, your base will completely disappear in front of you and be in the tool.

The Solido Replicator Tool will take a COPY of your base. It will not store any of your items, benches, storage, anything. When you use this tool, your base will still be physically present in front of you and a green “outline” of your base will appear.

If you are transferring and taking your base with you, use the Base Reconstruction Tool.

Some additional notes:
Be sure to disassemble and store your vehicles. Your Vehicle Recovery Tool can only hold one vehicle (of sandbike, treadwheel, or scout ornithopter variety). So, your buggies, carrier, whatever else, disassemble and store them in your base. (You can also fly your carrier or assault to a city hub, but you won’t be able to transfer servers from there.)

Sometimes you may get an additional warning when backing up your base saying “X many of placeable objects won’t be backed up.” Do a circle around your base, and anything (lights, chests, etc) not connected to a foundation block or physical piece of your base may not transfer.

Your circuit setup should stay the same when transferring. I’ve moved from different servers 5 times and every time my circuits have been unchanged when re-placing my base. Don’t hesitate to double check after replacement, though.

There is a “Snap to origin” button that once you hit will move your base to that location (if you are within a few hundred meters of it).

Pay attention to the keybindings listed on the right side of your screen when using the tool. Pressing X once will snap to origin, holding it will recycle your base. There will be a pop up telling you that if you hold it accidentally.

Which brings up another point, read and pay attention to the pop ups instead of just accepting them. Unless you’ve used the tool many times and are aware of what warnings are coming up, you could accidentally recycle or not pick up your base.

This list is not exhaustive but hits some of the points of things I’ve been seeing pop up more and more on this sub when it comes to transferring bases and servers.

If you have any other tips or suggestions, feel free to share them.
