I'm looking at Dr. Keene in Tucson and Dr. Alexander in Phoenix. I've had phone consultations with both. Has anyone gotten procedures from either and, if so, are you happy with your results? These are not the only two surgeons I'm considering but their proximity to me (Los Angeles) would be a major convenience factor, and I'll be in Arizona in a few weeks and have the opportunity to meet them in person, get potential hairlines drawn on, speak with them in more detail, etc.
Keene is cheaper and by several thousand dollars for the number of grafts I'm going for, about 2500. She leans towards doing 30 grafts per square centimeter but said 40 is possible if I desire. She thinks less in terms of "looking good for one's age" (I am 30) and more in terms of what looks good over time; I appreciated that perspective.
Alexander said he goes for 60 grafts per centimeter which, Keene thinks, is unnecessary. Obviously that is denser, but I want to make sure it will not look out of place on my head.
I'd appreciate hearing anyone's experiences.
