hi pom parents!! i’m bringing home a pomeranian in May, and she will be 5 months old by then. i chose to get an older puppy because this will be my first time ever owning a dog and I was extremely intimidated by the 8-16 week stage. ive done a ton of research, but now I’m a little worried that since I have passed the socialization period if it will be difficult for me to make sure that my puppy is properly socialized. i plan to bring her with me out of the house pretty often and i just want to know if any of you guys have experienced bringing a puppy home at around five months and how that may differ from bringing home an 8 week old or if anyone in this general advice for me since again, it will be my first time ever owning a dog! thank you in advance!!
also, what are everyone’s thoughts on spaying? ive seen a lot of conflicting opinions online, so im wondering everyone’s first hand thoughts.
