Help Matching Timbre

[See Attached] I'm trying to make a cover in a DAW and can't nail down the sound of the electric guitar.

Specifically I'm trying to mimic the strumming electric guitar in "Crossing the Line" from the Tangled series.

It plays one part in concert with basically a whole orchestra and a vocalist so it's meant to be there to add edge and energy without taking up much of the other parts space/presence.

For reference, I've attached a sample of it having been isolated from the other parts.

To me it feels like what I think of when I think of what a sort of "default" electric guitar should sound like, but apparently that's not as "default" as I would have thought. It doesn't help that I'm kind of a noob when it comes to electric guitars, but to me it sounds like it has these qualities;

- Medium body - mostly focused on the mid frequencies: some but not too much in the bass and some but not too much in the high-end as well.

- There's a little bit of twang

- And a tasteful amount of distortion that seems to be accentuated on the louder/harder notes/strums

- Also, is it maybe a chorus of two or more strumming electric guitars at the same time?

I've been messing with various vsts, signal chains, eq settings, and effects in my DAW, but like I said I can't quite get it close enough for my liking.

Right now I'm not too worried about the other electric guitar part that seems to have more of a bright melodic role in the high end. Although who knows, I might need to come back for advice on that one too.

Any tips/analysis/vst or effect recommendations (preferably free) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
