I am planning a trip to Meghalaya during the second-half of the month of May (this month!). I wanted to understand if the usual route from Shillong to Mawlynnong or Dawki are closed now as google maps is showing almost a 4.5 hour route while older blogs and web results mention 2.5 hours travel duration. I need to plan whether to stay near Mawlynnong for the night or head back to Shillong based on the travel time or skip Mawlynnong/Dawki region altogether.

Any latest information on whether routes are operational and if they are safe would be helpful!
