After Butler Destiny surprised me. I was expecting an edgy take, but he went scorched earth. I understood the point, which was basically his current position: "Trump gleefully engages in reckless violent rhetoric constantly and never turns the temp down, what do you expect is going to happen?". He got dogpiled; Piers, Whick panels, crazy MAGA people. Left, right, and center. Arguably took a major hit to his reach burning bridges with the Daily Wire folks etc.

Then the Kirk thing. I feel like he died on the same hill again, but this time, it seemed like some others in the liberal media picked up on the point and defended it. Not everyone. Also Destiny got heavily targeted once again.

Now with the WHCD thing. I feel like all I hear from every lib is Destiny's take from two years ago. I'm obviously biased, but it feels like Destiny seeded the ground for this. Had Destiny not been consistent on this from the jump, would we still be in a world where the left feels the need to play into the violent rhetoric nonsense?
