Need help wording a Demon ability.
You lot were so helpful wording my previous ability and i've come seeking your aid a 2nd time.
I have a Demon idea that I know how it needs to work but i'm struggling to figure out how to keep the ability short. So here is the premise.
The Demon is called the Prophet. They think they are a good character but they are not. Each night*, a player dies. (So far so good). At the start of the game, the Minions learn X number of false Prophets and the real Prophet, but they don't who is the real Prophet. X is the starting number of Minions. If a Minion dies, that night they learn a false Prophet.
So, the above is a mixture of ability text and me explaining how the last bit works.
The premise is simple enough: The Minions are told "one of these players is the Prophet" and the Storyteller points to a number of players equal to the starting number of Minions +1. So in a 10 player game with 2 Minions, they will learn 3 players, and one of those will be the real Prophet. (Ive called the others False Prophets because thematically it works well).
So the Minions can try to keep all 3 alive just in case... OR a Minion can get themselves executed and the following night they will learn 1 player that is a false prophet (not the Demon). So its a balance of "how many Minions can we afford to lose to narrow down who the real Prophet is?"
ST wise, you want to choose the false prophets carefully, often one player who wants to stay alive and/or players that want to stay alive long enough to use their ability and then advocate for their own execution. It also means the Minions will want to seek info about all the potential Prophets to figure out who is likely to be the real Prophet. This is all just fluff though incase anyone was curious how I intend it to work.
Any help would be great as im not sure if it can be shortened enough to be usable.
