I was sitting on my bed,with period cramps ruining my day and feeling moody and I suddenly remembered the psychotic smear campaign against illit in 2024 and realized my day isn’t so bad after all. Dunno if it happens to any of you glitts but I still get shocked that I actually witnessed this shit. I am not gonna get into details cause the thread will get ugly and mods will take it down but I still feel shocked that everyone was trying to convince me that getting behind the utmost attempt to completely obliterate the lives and careers of 5 young girls is the right thing to do. I felt mass gashlighted. This is just a shower thought btw,this is the worst smear campaign I’ve ever witnessed in my 7 years in the kpop world. There’s only one smair campaign worse than Blackpink’s and it’s this. Hopefully no one ever has to go through this again. Stream super real me

It's me: Unfortunately didn't like this one at all. I was excited to see illit switching up from their usual magical girl concept because I tend to vibe with mature concepts more but this isn't what I wanted. I find the instrumental and hook quite irritating and they make me not wanna listen to the song at all

GRWM: Very cute and illit core. Sounds like something that could have been from super real me because it kinda reminds me of midnight fiction. I like the fast paced instrumental a lot.

Paw Paw: a HIT. This song has been on my rotation all week,I literally can't stop listening to it and it's stuck in my head as I'm typing this. This is what I imagined a more mature illit to sound like. It's more mature yet still sounds exactly like illit. I really hope they try more tracks like this in the future. Definitely my fav song from this album

mamihlapinatapai: At first I thought this was gonna be the title track because it has the same name as the album. More chill that GRWM and Paw Paw but it's nice and cute. Overall I like GRWM and paw paw more but if it came on shuffle or something I wouldn't say no

Love,older you: Typical ballad as an album closer.

It has a nice message and serves well closing the album.

Overall,it's a really nice album with a bad lead single. It kinda irks me when good albums have bad lead singles because tts are the first impression of the album and if a casual listens to a lead single and doesn't like it,they're not gonna bother with the bsides and the whole album will be dumbed as bad even tho it's only the lead single. This album has some of illit's strongest bsides,overall I really like it

So I've been thinking about celebration a lot since it dropped. I'm a hardcore fearnot but I am not afraid to criticize my faves when they don't deliver musically. Unfortunately this is what happened with celebration and I've been vocal about not liking this song. However,I've seen tons of doomposting,even here, and I hate that this happens to girl groups after one singular underwhelming release. It is not the end all be all for lesserafim.

I think people forget they've got 10 more tracks coming out in a month. If the lead single for the album is good and they have another viral bside situation like blue flame,epabtw,impurities or smart then they'll be fine. People will ignore a bad song if the rest of the music is good. AND,even if the release doesn't perform up to expectations they'll still be fine. Maybe not as hot domestically as they used to be but they're a big 4 group+they have an established fandom,so they're not really going anywhere
