Need advice from anyone who has gone through something like this.
We switched to Xfinity Mobile and ported our numbers. Since 4/22/2026, both lines have been stuck in activation/porting limbo and we have had no working phone service at all.
What has happened so far:
- Live chat gives different answers every time (multiple times, no result)
- Phone support keeps repeating the same questions and steps (10 times over 1hr conversation)
- They act confident at first, then after an hour they cannot solve anything
- They keep opening cases, then later closing the cases with no resolution
- Told 24–48 hours, then 4–5 days, then something else
- No one seems able to reach the real team that can fix porting issues
- Email escalation contacts shared online are not reachable
- We are still without service while time keeps passing
- Still being billed / account issues while no usable service
We already contacted our previous carrier, but they said they already ported the numbers out and cannot do anything until the numbers are active again.
This is affecting work, family, banking verification codes, and normal daily life. Two people without working phones in 2026 is insane.
At this point we feel completely helpless.
We also want to ask:
- Has anyone gone through this exact Xfinity Mobile issue?
- How long did it take to fix?
- Is there any real escalation path that actually works?
- Any advice on protecting the numbers while this gets sorted out?
Any useful advice would mean a lot right now. This has been exhausting.
