Hey guys!
So for some reason, my PC seems to love creating some kind of file(s) with my username and running it everytime I restart it. Basically, it has this idk what to even call it, app?, that tries to open among my other programs that are scheduled on startup. It doesn't open straight up, just asks me for a program to run it with, but yet again - I have no idea what kind of file it is, since windows isn't showing it as an .exe either. This has been happening for at least a couple of months, with no clear starting point that I can remember to trace it back to.
I have found other people mentioning it online, but none of the 2 links actually had a solution for it. From what I can see, it seems to create 2 vcRuntime log files.
The "app" is disabled from startup on task manager, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I have bitdefender on my PC and it runs constantly (so it shouldn't be a virus), plus this computer is mostly clean of any kind of more "sketchy" downloads.
Only hint I could find: if I delete these 3 folders in file explorer and I try to navigate to the file location from task manager, it takes me to a folder about Notion and 1 about MathLab, depending on which one of the two I click. If the files are in place in explorer, both of them take me to the same address in C that can be seen in the screenshot.
Any luck for some help? I am running Win11Pro
