I was 8 years old when he died but my family always played his songs when I was younger. Since I saw the new Michael Jackson movie I feel such a deep sadness every time I listen to his songs. Such a lovely, kind and empathetic soul had to endure so much cruelty from this world.
It seems like I have found something again that was forgotten and now I cannot stop crying every time I listen to his songs and see interviews and videos of him. I hope I’m not alone in this because I cannot explain it. This never happened with any other celebrity (ofc you cannot compare anyone to the king of pop!) but it feel like I mourn him all over again because he was such a big part of my early childhood…
