Somewhat cautionary self tale on Reta
Ill try to keep this somewhat brief. Ive been on Reta about 5 months, totally changed my life. About a month ago I came down with the Norovirus which is essentially a very severe 3-4 day stomach flu. I did not discontinue use of Retatrutide during or following this stomach flu and as best as my doctors can guess this contributed(along with a medication, promethazine, that was meant to stem some of the symptoms of norovirus) to me developing a condition known as gastropariesis where your stomach completely stops releasing food into the intestines. While this fortunately did pass after 9 days of discontinuing reta it was absolutely horrific and ive never been so sure I was going to die. I was hospitalized 3 times during that 9 days and lost 18 pounds from fairly constant vomiting and diarrhea to the point of losing consciousness, and busting blood vessels in my eyes. If you do go to the hospital with norovirus or other severe gastrointestinal issues please make it clear you are on a GLP medication and that you'd prefer to be prescribed Regulan for nausea instead of promethazine. I dont want anyone to go through what I went through. My dose was 7.5 mg.
