Are any of these any good?

Was given these after my cousin died.

I'm not a cologne guy so not really sure if they are any good and worth keeping.

Should I keep or throw?

Downsizing a collection

I figured I’d share where my collection currently stands. It’s grown a good bit over time, and I’ve gotten to the point where I feel like I’ve explored enough to really understand what I enjoy vs. what just sits on the shelf.

Right now, I overall I feel like I’ve built a pretty well-rounded lineup for different seasons, occasions, and moods.

That said… I’m planning to downsize a bit soon.

Not because I don’t like these fragrances, but more because I’ve realized I don’t reach for all of them.

I’ll probably start letting a few go over the next couple of weeks. Percival, MYSLF, and Dior Homme Intense will probably be the firsts to go.

How often do you all downsize, if at all? How do you determine what goes?

Successful Blind Buy - Channel Superleggera

I’d seen so much hype around this fragrance being re-released and decided to trust it - and I’m glad I did!

So light and easy to wear, I’m not usually big on freshies but this is a beaut. I have tried (and really liked) Allure edition Blanche but this tops it for me

People who love Aventus, what’s replaced it in your collection?

I wear Aventus to the office pretty much every day. I still love the smell, but the nose blindness and weak performance are leaving me wanting for more.

Tried tons of samples and nothing dethrones it for me.

So I’m stuck. what about you guys? Fellow Aventus bros, what (if anything) has taken its place and why?

Perhaps Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada doesn't care for Prada but all 3 of these beauties were 60% off.

Where do you regularly find your best deals?

My final bottle…

Today I got my final bottle of cologne. After two years of collecting I’m up to 23 bottles and I’m officially cutting myself off. I was tempted to allow myself to buy God of Fire as well but I think after getting this scent I’m done. When I first found Blockade it felt like I’d finally found my holy grail of fresh classy scents. I got it for a great price on Joma as well during their sale last week, so I’m now content and ready to put the wallet away for good. I’ve got every season and occasion covered. Reasonably I don’t need more. Pics of the new pickup and my entire collection included.

Hot take?

Lately I’ve been way more into unisex-leaning fragrances. Stuff that just smells good without giving off that classic “cologne” vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I respect a solid fresh/blue, but I find myself reaching more for things like rose, peppery notes, or softer blends.

( for example: atomic rose : bal d’-afrique : musk therapy : rose of nomans land) - all scents that just smell good and don’t have that typical cologne smell to them.

Not talking about anything super weird or avant-garde… just scents that feel a little different from the norm.

Anyone else in the same boat? What are your go-to picks in this category?
