And I don't mean the film should've extended the timeline, even in the existing timeline, even with the available run time, they could've added so much more details and depth. Like Off The Wall was like MJ's 5th solo album, not first. Where are all the missing albums?! Where is The Wiz? Honestly, a south Indian director/script writer would've done a better job with their fast paced and detailed stories. Anyways, with Jackson Estate and Sony so heavily involved, they would never show a single thing against themselves, even if MJ fought hard against them. Joe Jackson was a safe bet, and even he was not shown as harsh. Fuck all that, Jackson 5 were insanely popular! MJ was shown lonely, but the film doesn't explain that he could not go out of his home after the age of 12, and thats when he dropped out of school too. His early fame was shown very pale. Where was all the crowd?! The insane, crazy emotional, loud fans?! In all other celeb biopics, everything is shown larger than what actually was, MJ biopic is different, it shows lesser than what actually was. Less fame, less emotions, less artistic exploration, less impact.
I also watched it twice btw. I am happy the film is doing well ❤️🙌🏻
