Frustrated

I’ve been in a calorie deficit for about 2.5 months and have lost roughly 1 stone and 10 pounds. This is extremely slow for me, and I’m feeling really frustrated by it.

Visually, I’m a little smaller around my waist, but overall there hasn’t been a dramatic difference, which is upsetting because I expected more noticeable changes by now. I haven’t been exercising much because I have a history of hypothalamic amenorrhea from over-exercising, so I’ve been trying to be careful not to overdo it this time.

Despite that, my period has also skipped this month for some reason, which is adding to my worry. I’ve been eating consistently around 1,300–1,400 calories a day, and I’m 5’4” for reference.

What’s confusing me is that usually after about three months of dieting, people tend to start noticing changes. Not a single person has mentioned anything to me, which I understand given the small visual difference—but I can’t figure out why the progress is so minimal overall. It’s starting to make me wonder if something like a thyroid/ hormone imbalance issue could be affecting things.
