I just bought a Canyon Endurace CF SLX 2017 and I’m having some issues with the saddle setup. The bike has the Canyon S15 VCLS 2.0 CF seatpost.

The saddle wobbles/tilts front to back. For example, if I put weight forward, the saddle tilts nose-down slightly, and if I push back it moves the other way. It feels like there’s play somewhere in the clamp/rail interface even when tightened properly.

In the picture I use a Fizik Aliante R3 saddle, which from what I understand should be original or at least compatible. But the rails don’t really seem to fit the clamp properly. There’s quite a lot of space above the rails and also on the sides, almost like the clamp shape doesn’t match the rails at all.

What’s confusing me even more is that I’ve actually tried multiple saddles now — both round and oval rail saddles (although I’m not 100% sure of the exact rail dimensions on all of them) — and none of them seem to fit properly either. They all seem to have some play or weird spacing in the clamp.

Am I crazy here or does this sound like the wrong saddle/rail type for the S15 VCLS clamp? Has anyone else had this issue with the S15 seatpost on an Endurace?

What should I check first? Wrong rail size? Missing adapters? Worn clamp pieces?

Update from yesterday, thanks for all the comments, really appreciate it.

A lot of you suggested lowering the front and raising the saddle slightly, so I removed one spacer and lifted the saddle just a tiny bit.

Guessing I could try removing more spacers as well?

Overall it’s actually been pretty comfortable, did 50 km yesterday and 50 today. Still getting some numbness in the arms and a bit of neck pain though.

However as you guys recommended when I engage my core more and rotate my hips forward, I got less pressure on my arms. And yeah I think I’m still figuring out how to properly sit on the saddle and find that “sweet spot.”

Also yeah, I’ll probably do a proper bike fit soon, just wanted to get some input first on whether the bike is workable or not.

Hey guys, would really appreciate some feedback on my bike fit.

I’m riding a Canyon Endurace CF SLX (size M). I’m 175 cm so it is too big for me if I look at canyons size chart but I got it for such a great deal so had to buy it

Does this look rideable with some adjustments, or do you think I should go down a size?

I’ve included a short clip. Not the best quality, but hopefully enough to get an idea.
