Massachusetts expired inspection sticker ticket — realistic insurance increase?
31M in Massachusetts with a clean driving record for at least 7 years. No accidents, DUI, speeding tickets, insurance lapses, etc.
I got pulled over recently and cited for an expired inspection sticker. The sticker was very overdue (about 4 years), but the car had been in Florida parked/not really driven for a long time. I had only been back in Massachusetts for about 2 weeks before getting stopped.
No accident involved. Officer originally noticed me because of phone use.
If I decide not to fight the ticket and just pay it, what kind of realistic insurance increase am I looking at in Massachusetts? I keep seeing people online saying 20% for 6 years, but I’m wondering what actually happens in real life for a single inspection sticker violation with an otherwise clean record.
Also my home address has a garage where I park the car and virtually no crime. 2014 dodge dart.
