If it helps to add context, I am a 6'2 200 lb male, 25 y/o, been starting to workout and trying to better my image recently, and am pretty stable financially. (I dont go on this sub so I don't know what I need to include)

I am not trying to virtue signal or argue my viewpoint, but I personally really hate casual dating (if you are curious of my reasoning we can talk about it), but my issue comes that I haven't ended up having a long term relationship in almost a decade at this point.

I have had plenty of chances at short term, but I think part of my issue comes with this sense of every single person I've had a chance with wanting a short hookup or one night stand, and I immediately lose interest. I know a lot of my friends relationships (most of them), have started from something short term that turned long term, but I can't force myself to go that route.

I have no idea where to find someone long term though, I know the places and people I hang out with the most don't really attract the more serious types, but I have no idea where to look elsewhere, and for reference everyone I work with is also taken (would be a bad idea anyways for where I work).

So where do I look? I have heard from friends of coffee shops, board game shops, clubs, etc. I have also heard some dating apps, but I get such wide and varied answers (and have also had little success with dating apps).
