Hi I am looking to get into metal detecting I love local history but there is good land around me that is out the way of people (not farm land), would you still seek permission even tho you are not likely to be stopped while detecting because of how out the way it is?.

How likely are councils to give permissions?

I will be seeking permision on farm land, but I dont see the point in asking for permission on council land that is out the way.

Has anyone else done something like this?

Any advice is appreciated.

I recommend giving this a watch in regards to our situation and whats going on at the top, it was really intresting and i watched the whole thing.

I never knew that now sulivan and our other owner are 40 40 now, but we have a massive cash hole and either they have to put there money in to increase revenue or sell players regardless if we stay up or go down.
