34M37F Couple Looking for a Place
My wife and I have been in the shelter system for a year now and due to the income plateaus in place we are not allowed to work full time. We are willing, able, and capable of working full time. My wife is a cybersecurity graduate wanting to use her skills but cannot lest she lose her bed. We moved here from Maine last May and have been stuck in a system keeping us from our potential. I am an Inventory Specialist with six years of experience in retail, a professional musician with studio experience, and a writer.
We have experienced the drama and lack of professionalism in the shelter system. We are tired. We want to succeed, not persist in these dormitories where the staff avoid and neglect their roles.
We have one orange tabby cat and personalities tempered through traveling, teaching, and surviving. We met at Nature's Classroom in Alabama, teaching Elementary and Junior High School students about science, survival, and ecology. For a year we lived and traveled in an RV.
We are clean, studious, and the both of us can cook! I was raised on a farm in Alabama, born in Orange County, California, and she is New York City born and raised.
We are looking for another couple or single to share a space with for one to two years. Our goal is to land our dream job in St. Mary's, Alaska, running the general store.
Anyone wanting to know more about us, please inquire. Our preference would be a place in Queens or Staten Island, however other locations are welcome.
Sincerely,
Samantha and Neil
