On 25 April, my Instagram account @ravi718_ was permanently suspended under CSE allegations, even though I never violated any guidelines. It looks like a false AI flag.

Since then, I’ve tried everything: • Instagram appeals (in-app + browser) • Meta grievance forms • Oversight Board submission • NCH (National Consumer Helpline) complaint • Emails/support attempts

No proper response so far.

Also, any new accounts I create get banned quickly, so it seems my device/IP is flagged too.

My main question:

Has anyone actually recovered their account using Meta Verified? Is it worth buying just to contact support?

If not, what other methods worked for you? Would really appreciate any real solutions or success stories 🙏

On 25 April, my Instagram account @ravi718_ was suddenly permanently suspended under allegations related to child sexual exploitation and nudity, even though I never intentionally posted or shared anything violating Instagram’s Community Guidelines. The suspension appeared without any prior warning, and after reviewing my account, Instagram stated that the decision was final and that I could no longer request another review.

What made the situation even more stressful was that this did not feel like a normal moderation action. Around the same time, I started seeing many other users online reporting similar false bans and AI flagging issues. A lot of innocent accounts were suddenly being disabled under extremely serious categories without receiving proper explanations or meaningful human support.

After the suspension, I immediately tried every official recovery method available from my side: • Submitted Instagram appeal requests • Completed the in-app review/appeal process • Tried browser-based recovery options • Reported the issue through Meta grievance channels • Submitted forms requesting a human review • Filed a complaint through India’s National Consumer Helpline (NCH) • Submitted escalation details explaining that this may be an automated false flagging issue • Tried contacting available Meta/Instagram support emails • Submitted a report through the Oversight Board escalation form after Instagram itself suggested that route

Unfortunately, despite all these attempts, I still have not received a meaningful human response or proper explanation regarding what exactly triggered the suspension.

Another strange thing that happened was that when I tried creating new Instagram accounts afterward, those accounts were also quickly suspended. From researching similar cases online, it seems Meta’s systems may link devices/IPs/accounts together once an account enters a high-risk moderation category.

This situation has become extremely frustrating because Instagram is not just a social media app for many people anymore. A lot of users, including me, rely on these platforms for communication, networking, opportunities, content work, and in some cases income as well. Losing access without clear evidence or proper human review has caused serious stress and uncertainty.

I fully understand the importance of strict safety policies and enforcement against actual harmful content. However, I genuinely believe my account may have been incorrectly flagged by automated AI moderation systems, and I am continuing to request a proper human/manual review of the account and associated evidence.

At this point, I’m mainly sharing my experience to: • document what happened, • connect with others facing similar issues, • and understand whether anyone has successfully recovered accounts from similar false flagging situations.
