Take a look at this data from the 2025 SIPRI report. It’s absolutely insane.

Algeria is ranked #2 Globally for military spending as a share of GDP (8.83\%).

To put that in perspective:

• We spend a higher percentage of our wealth on the military than Russia, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

• The only country above us is Ukraine, and they are in the middle of a full-scale war.

Now, look at our daily reality:

• Trash Everywhere

We don't even have basic trashcans on the street corners. Waste management is non-existent in many neighborhoods.

• Crumbling Infrastructures

Our roads, public transport, and water systems are failing while billions go into hardware that sits in garages or the desert.

•The "General's Share"

While the military "eats" nearly 9% of our GDP, the middle class is shrinking and young people have zero prospects.

How can we justify being one of the most armed nations on earth while our citizens live in filth and lack basic public services? This isn't about "national security" anymore; it's about a military government prioritizing its own power over the dignity of the people.

We are paying for a world-class army but living with "zero-star" infrastructure. Is it time we start demanding that our taxes go into trashcans, schools, and hospitals instead of more tanks?
