CW Leather 2 Watch Roll Hard To Use?

I recently purchased the 2 watch roll and went to use it only to find that the watches seem to fit rather poorly. I tried turning the watches around in different directions but other than removing the bracelets completely I don’t really seem to be able to make them fit “right.” It’s lumpy and very hard to close on left side. It doesn’t look nice. Am I missing something or is this just how they are?
