Experiences with Clomiphene.

Hello everyone, for some context. I am 28 years old, 1.80m tall and weigh 92kg.

In recent years, around mid-2022, I was experiencing the effects of low testosterone, such as lack of energy, decreased libido, and erectile dysfunction.

I was going through a terrible time in my life with very high stress due to an undiagnosed illness. I can say that this was perhaps one of the causes of all my problems, as I wasn't sleeping well and lived with pain and stress every day, which is now resolved.

That year I ended up having a testosterone level test and took it to my urologist. The test showed 240 ng/dL. My doctor said the levels were normal and prescribed antidepressants as treatment. Needless to say, this only worsened my condition, to the point where I couldn't even maintain an erection for months, and I ended up stopping the treatment on my own and just lived with the symptoms.

In recent months I've started to become active again, going to the gym, exercising, and improving my diet, but I still have symptoms of fatigue and lack of motivation, along with episodes of ED and low libido. So I ended up taking another test which showed that my testosterone levels were still low. Total testosterone 223.70 ng/dL, free testosterone 7.607 ng/dL and estradiol 18 pg/mL.

I went to another urologist who prescribed clomiphene as treatment, 25 mg daily.

Well, in one month my testosterone went to 618.49 ng/dL, free testosterone 18.471 ng/dL and estradiol 48 pg/mL. And in two months it went to 963 ng/dL, 20.15 ng/dL and 94.8 pg/mL.

Currently, LH is at 11.2 mIU/mL and FSH is at 11.6 mIU/mL.

Those problems with lack of energy have disappeared, and I'm able to progress with weight training at the gym in a way I couldn't before. But I haven't seen an improvement in libido, although I'm not having any more problems with ED currently.

The issue is that my estradiol has risen significantly. I spoke with my doctor, and he advised reducing the dose by half, that is, to 12.5 mg daily. The big question is, will reducing estradiol really help? I'm worried because I have fat in the breast area, and one of the side effects I'm experiencing is sensitivity and discomfort in that area. On my own, before reducing the dose, I started taking 25 mg every two days, and this discomfort disappeared, but I'm still concerned.

In your opinion, could reducing the dose really help, or should I switch to an aromatase inhibitor (AI) medication?

As you can see, it's above my desk. If I lower it, it becomes impossible to see if someone is sitting in the chair. I was thinking of raising the bed area about 30 centimeters by building a wooden platform, but keeping the desk area as it is. Would that be a good idea?
