I was doing a MCQ I got a decent score(51/55, some the questions that I got incorrect was because I was talking to my mother and got distracted), but the issue is my writing, for example, this is my LEQ that we did in like 30 minutes or so during.

"Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) became president at a pivotal time in American history, as the Depression sought to devastate even more lives. He used to the greatest extent-- up to that moment-- in American history the use of Federal law and government, pushing the Supreme Court to set new rules and clarifications on how to enact certain orders in the government. FDR began his presidency with the New Deal, a plan to relieve, reform, and recover the people of the country by implementing Social Security (SS) for the elderly and disabled, normalizing the use of fireside chats for the people, and unemployment payments for those who can't find a job, and as more people had a radio at home or the workplace to hear the news. The creation of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Works Progress Administration(WPA), which aimed at the immediate relief of the skyrocketing unemployment rate. While also helping people buy homes with the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) help give insured loans, stabilized mortgages and overall expand homeownership. However, FDR's New Deal faced critism. For the SS, there were some exclusions for farmers, and the Supreme Court saw this as an attempt to overstep the Constitution and began to strike down some of the National Recovery Administration (NRA), which sought to overstep in how local businesses worked. Ultimately, FDR did more good than bad, but at the cost of jeopardizing the Constitution for the people.

As the depression dragged on, FDR attempted to restore the economy. Within his first 100 days, he enacted the CCC to help the unemployed find secure jobs and help their families, with thje creation of Workers Progress Administration (WPA) created in 1935 to provide even more help with the unployement crisis. With this plan, he also helped those who still couldn't find a job with unemployment benefits, which are still used to this day by many. His fireside chats aimed at the populace also motivated and reengaged the motivation to go to work, with one of his fireside chats being focused on the job market and how he would fix it, which he did. FDR dropped unemployment from 25% to approximately 14% by the end of his presidency, which also helped with the biggest GDP spending growth from 6.4% to approxmilty 9.8% in a single year. All of these causes made him the candidate for the biggest social help in American history, the first president to that moment to focus on the people and not in the corporations.

His help was not limited to employment; it was also housing. The housing crisis during this period was increasing, with mortgage rates increasing, and the same pattern was seen in interest rates. With the creation of the Home Owners Loan Act --and a few years later the FHA-- sought to stop the increment of the houses and set a hard cap limit to the whole nation on the rate at which they can put their interests and mortgages. The sellers weren't happy and raised their voices, but they were promptly shut down by those who wanted to buy a house. This helped the economy to start moving forward.

While he gave a lot of freedom to the people, the SC struck down on many issues, like the NRA, which sought to override local businesses, and the SC ruled it as unconstitutional and an overstep to control the State legislature. Futhermore, farmers were being harmed by the goverment to reduce production of good like chicken, cows, and other crops, which was widely critized by as a disastarous program and harmed sharecroppers who had no land of their own. Additionally, his social help programs had some exceptions for farm workers, who were view as less important than industrizal workers, who were receving all the benefits and remedies. This deeply hurt the farmers

FDR permanently expanded the power of the federal government and haged American's expectations of presidential leadership during economic crisis. With new policies changes in the SC to advance and be establish on how constitutional clarifications are needed so the government isn't overran by one branch, it has served as a long standing on how unchecked power can be beneficial in the right hands but if it was handed to the wrong hands the same tyranny that we ran from could come back."
