I wanted a squad of Sternguard for my army but didn’t want to buy them so I used 5 extra Intercessor bodies and spare bits I had to kitbash a squad with a mix of bolters and combi- weapons as well as the flamer heavy weapon, just by giving him a spare pyreblaster. No idea if they look enough like veterans or just fancy Intercessors.

I wanted to add some Sternguard to my Salamanders so I used 5 leftover Intercessor bodies as a base. Couldn’t figure out how to combine 2 Infernus marine flamers to copy the real kit’s heavy flamer, so I just used one.
