Cleaning business owners honest question 😭

I know most cleaning business owners probably get asked about websites/marketing 100 times a week…

But I’m honestly curious:

Do you guys actually feel your current online presence helps bring customers in?

Like:

  • website
  • Google Maps
  • reviews
  • Facebook page
  • before/after photos
  • etc

Or does most business still come from referrals and repeat clients?

Would genuinely love hearing real experiences from cleaning business owners here because I feel like this industry works VERY differently from most businesses online.

Lawyers what actually makes clients trust a law firm today?

Random question

When someone is choosing a lawyer/law firm for the first time, what do you think actually builds trust now?

Is it:

  • referrals?
  • reviews?
  • reputation?
  • website?
  • social media presence?
  • or just experience/history?

I’ve noticed some firms have very polished online presence while others barely even update their websites anymore.

Curious what people inside the legal field think actually matters most for bringing in clients today.

Keep Building AI & This Gonna Takes OFF ~~~

You guys can keep building the AI for the businesses but what I see is that mainly the businesses who are in low-tier countries like India and Pakistan are never going to adapt to the AI. If any business is interested they are just assuming they can get the whole AI system for under $50 or $100 and they don't even know the value of AI. That's why the main question is here: target only those businesses who understand the value of AI and are able to invest in business and see the value, not the fucking stuff. I get that because I already talked with over 200 plus businesses and I see that mostly international clients, like high-tier countries, adapt more to AI instead of India and low-tier countries. The step is:

  1. First of all they need a fucking great website. I saw a lot of businesses that have a boring WordPress or Weebly website, not a good website. If you have a good social presence then everything goes well.
  2. Let's suppose, let's take an example. If you're not having a fucking website, how the fucking AI can help you to bring more sales? If you have a fucking website then more leads can come through and then you're able to implement their system.

That's all. If any business owner is looking at this or any people looking at this, just let me know. What's your opinion on this? Feel free to reach out to me.

Hey crochet artists, I recently made something really cool for a crochet business 👀

Not gonna lie… working with creative people is honestly way more fun than regular businesses 😭

Recently I worked on a website for one of my friends who sells crochet items/patterns, and I tried to make it feel cozy, aesthetic, and handmade instead of those boring corporate-looking websites.

And seeing her work presented properly online actually made me realize how many talented crochet creators deserve better branding/websites.

A lot of handmade businesses have AMAZING products but:

  • outdated shop pages
  • confusing layouts
  • or only rely on Instagram/Etsy

So now I’m curious…

If you could have your dream website/shop for your crochet business:
what’s the ONE thing you’d want on it?

I attached some previews/videos of the site too because I’d genuinely love feedback from people in this community 👀

Question for crochet artists (blanket makers, wearable makers, etc.) who sell online

Do you guys ever feel like Etsy/Instagram doesn’t fully show how good your work actually is?

I’ve been looking at a lot of crochet businesses lately and honestly some creators make AMAZING stuff… but sometimes their online presence doesn’t match the quality at all 😭

Like:

  • beautiful handmade work
  • but blurry photos
  • outdated shop pages
  • hard to browse collections
  • or no place that properly tells their story

Curious how you guys handle this.

Do you mostly rely on:

  • Etsy?
  • Instagram?
  • your own website?
  • craft fairs?
  • repeat customers?

And if you already have your own website/store, drop it below 👀
I genuinely love checking out creative businesses and how people present their work online.

Where are you guys actually marketing your books now? I

I keep seeing completely different advice everywhere:

  • “Use TikTok”
  • “Instagram works best”
  • “Build an email list”
  • “Amazon ads”
  • “Facebook groups”
  • “Just post consistently”

But I’m curious what’s ACTUALLY working in real life for authors here.

Like:

  • where do most of your readers come from?
  • what platform surprised you the most?
  • and what ended up being a total waste of time?

Would honestly love hearing real experiences from published authors instead of generic online advice 😭

What’s one thing you wasted money on when starting your business?

Genuine question for business owners here.

When you first started your business, what’s one thing you spent money on that ended up being completely useless?

Could be:

  • ads
  • branding
  • websites
  • SEO
  • equipment
  • courses
  • hiring people too early
  • literally anything

I’ve been noticing a lot of new businesses get sold things they don’t actually need yet, while ignoring things that really matter.

Curious what your biggest “yeah… that was a waste” moment was 😂

And on the flip side:
what ended up being unexpectedly worth paying for?

I’m making a few free websites for small business owners

Hey everyone, I’m 17 and currently building my portfolio as a web designer.

I know Reddit gets a lot of “buy my service” posts, so I’ll keep this simple. I’m looking to work with a few real businesses and create websites for free in exchange for honest feedback/testimonials and permission to showcase the work in my portfolio.

And honestly, please don’t assume it’ll be some random low-quality template site 😅
I’ve already worked on a few projects and attached some previews/videos in the post so you can judge the quality yourself.

What I usually focus on:

  • clean modern design
  • fast loading
  • mobile friendly
  • making the business actually look professional online

If you already have a website but feel it looks outdated, I’d also love to redesign one or two for practice.

No upfront payment or weird pitch. If you like the work, awesome. If not, no problem at all.

Feel free to comment or DM me if interested.

I’m just going to be honest here.

I’ve been reading a lot of posts in this community, and also posted yesterday asking whether businesses really need a website.

Most of the replies said the same thing:
Websites aren’t always required to start… but they matter a lot for trust and growth.

Here’s what I’ve noticed though:

A lot of business owners here already have something
maybe social media, maybe even a website
but it doesn’t actually represent how good their business really is.

That gap is interesting to me.

So instead of doing the usual “buy my service” type of post, I’ll just say this clearly:

I design websites, and right now I’m focused on working with real businesses and improving my work.

If you already have a site but feel it’s not doing much for you, or if you’ve been thinking about having one but never got around to it, I’d be interested to understand your situation.

No pressure, no sales pitch.
Just curious to see how many business owners feel their online presence actually matches the quality of what they do.

Yesterday I asked whether small businesses actually need a website and got a ton of replies.

Most people said it’s less about “having one” and more about trust and credibility.

What surprised me was how many people said they’ve walked away from businesses just because they couldn’t find a proper site.

Now I’m curious about something deeper:

For those who already have a website
Do you feel it actually brings you customers, or is it just there for credibility?

Would love to hear real experiences.

For small business owners here what was the biggest struggle when you first started?

Was it getting visibility, trust, or just reaching the right people?

Would love to hear real experiences.
