Built a simple SEO rank tracker called SerpTrace.

It checks where a page ranks on Google for specific keywords, with support for location and desktop/mobile checks. It also keeps previous searches so rankings can be compared over time.

Flow:

  1. Add a page URL
  2. Enter location
  3. Choose device
  4. Add keywords
  5. Get ranking positions and search history

I built it because many rank trackers feel bloated, expensive, or too agency-focused. I wanted something simpler for small sites, solo builders, and people who just need to check specific pages/keywords.

I’d appreciate feedback on whether the flow is clear, what SEO data matters most, whether the limits/pricing make sense, and what’s missing before it feels useful enough to keep using.

Built a simple SEO rank tracker called SerpTrace.
The idea is straightforward:
check where a page ranks on Google for specific keywords
support location-based checks
support desktop/mobile device checks
keep previous searches so rankings can be compared later
I built it because a lot of rank tracking tools feel either bloated, expensive, or too focused on agencies. I wanted something simpler for small sites, solo builders, and people who just want to check
specific pages/keywords.

Current flow:
add a page URL
enter location
choose device
enter keywords
get Google ranking positions and previous search history

Biggest things I’m trying to figure out:
whether the flow is clear enough
what data SEO people actually care about first
whether the limits/pricing make sense
what’s missing before this feels useful enough to keep using
Would appreciate feedback from anyone who tracks rankings or works on SEO.

I built SerpTrace, a simple SEO rank tracker for checking where a website/page ranks on Google for specific keywords, locations, and devices.

Basic flow:

  1. Go to https://serptrace.com
  2. Create an account
  3. Add a page URL, location, device, and keywords
  4. See the ranking results and compare previous searches

I’m mainly looking for feedback from people who do SEO, run small sites, or track local rankings. If you try it, I’d appreciate knowing what feels useful, confusing, or missing.
