I have a pair of AirPods Max 2. I use them with my personal MacBook Pro M1 and my iPhone 16 Pro. With both of these devices, the Spatial Audio works as expected and Head Tracked can be turned on.
I also have a work laptop, a MacBook Pro M4. I am signed into my iCloud account on that laptop, and the AirPods Max 2 are recognized by the laptop. Spatial Audio works, but Head Tracked is not available as an option.
Weirdly, under Accessibility, allow head tracking is always turned off. If I turn the toggle on, it appears to turn on. But if close the Settings window, or navigate to a different Settings pane, and reopen the Accessibility pane, allow head tracking will be turned off again.
I am pretty sure that this is the reason why I can't turn head tracking on, but I'm at a total loss as to why the setting won't save when I turn it on.
I have tried resetting the AirPods and reconnecting, but that did not work.
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts.
