My partner and I tried the newly opened Izakaya Tokyo in Lakeview East and the experience was pretty rough. Service is very disorganized with wrong orders being given out and some orders never coming at all. Food was decent, but the pricing is pretty aggressive for a restaurant of this style. Hopefully they gain their footing, but not a great start so far.

Main thing that threw me off was the clear review botting that the parent company is doing. Not sure many people are traveling to both Madison and Chicago in the same week to try two of their restaurants, but that seems to be what you find on their Google reviews
